When writing papers for your class it is important to write about something you are interested in. It is important because you can give your own oppinion and also you really understand it. Unlike some random topic that your teacher gives you at the beginning of class. For example: if your teacher gives you a topic about dancing or opera and you are a die hard sports fan, you are probably going to be pissed and not going to give it your best. By writing something that you are passionate about, it sparks your mind and gets it motivated.
Teachers need to start getting kids interested in writing at a young age, and thats how you do it. When you get a kid interested it makes him or her a more committed student and could prevent that student from dropping out and it could help him or her get in to college. We need to take this approach with younger kids.
