Often times people do not know where to start writing, so they sit there and stare at a blank page or screen. They rack their brains for ideas or potential topics, but what they do not realize is that the answer they seek is just one thought away. The key is to write down all thoughts that you have. By writing down all the thoughts that come into your mind, you will eventually find the answer that you have been looking for.
As your thoughts flow onto the page, one of the words or phrases will strike your interest, and when that happens, just go with it. When you find something that you think you might like to write about, just start writing, and see what comes out. When you find yourself getting stuck again, try writing your topic at the top of the page, and start listing all of the different sub categories, or different directions that the topic can go.
Eventually you will have enough different sub topics to start filling in the blank spots in your paper. I find that, by taking these lesser topics and writing a little bit about each one, eventually they can all be linked together to form a paper.
After you have written a little bit about each sub topic, and linked them together, it is time to go back through and revise. Eventually, you will have a paper that runs smoothly together and is jam packed full of good information.
With this tip, I feel you will have a well-written paper that will not cause you to want to tear your hair out! (at least not totally out)
