# 1222 Don't Always Begin with an Introduction.

When writing a research paper one normally starts with an intro and a thesis statement. Sometimes this isn't the best approach. Maybe you have several ideas for the body of the paper and you have yet to develop a well thought out introduction. You may have yet to develop a thesis statement and a general idea for the paper. Since one has been taught throughout their academic career that the introduction should be written first initially it may be difficult to focus on the body of the paper. Remember that this approach isn't effective for everyone.One may wish to make use of an implied thesis. It is important to understand which approach works best for you.
